The project takes the rural morphological samples of the town Brezovica and reconstitutes them into a palmate structure that houses the kindergarten program. The “greenhouses” are connected by an organic form (the tendon) and branched out to articulate the site and form interspatial conditions. In materializing the greenhouses, the design fosters and navigates child growth via a phenomenological approach. The reflections in the corrugated polycarbonate, dreamy silhouettes and diffused light, the textures and ambiguity of the tendon’s geometry, the varied garden aromas were the architectural elements designed to pique curiousity and encourage physical and intellectual development. The Kindergarten is a transmitter of sensations and a scene of possibilities, not of certainty. By evoking such experiences, the child governs and leads with curiosity. The design leaves space for imagination; frames the kindergarten as a platform for exploration, for children to construct their own architecture of thought.
